Q: WHAT IS AN ESCAPE ROOM?

A: An escape room is a real-life game that takes place in a specially designed space for a limited amount of time, during which you have to look for clues and hidden objects, solve puzzles, and unlock items to escape in time.

Q: WHAT AGEs can play an escape game?

A: We recommend ages 10 + for our games. An adult must accompany a group of minors in all of our rooms. All of our available games are appropriate for ages 10 & older.

Q: WHAT IS THE CANCELATION POLICY?

A: You must email or call to reschedule within 24 hours of your booking. There are no refunds, and all sales are final.

Q: Should I book online?

A: Yes, just like a theater or movie showing, it is highly recommended that you book online so that your group is guaranteed to have the room, date, and time you would like to play. We accept MasterCard, Visa, and PayPal for online payments. Amex cardholders use the PayPal option. You do not need a PayPal account to checkout.

Q: How soon/late can I book? 

A: You can book up to 6 months in advance. Booking online requires payment 30 minutes before the start of any game. After 30 minutes, the booking is removed from the website.

Q: WHAT IS A DUAL EXPERIENCE?

A: Why just escape when you can compete? Our Dual Experience allows your group to compete in two identical rooms with identical puzzles. There can be a maximum of four players in each room. 

Q: CAN DISCOUNTS BE APPLIED TO PAST OR PREVIOUSLY SCHEDULED BOOKINGS OR PARTIES?

A: Discounts or special offerings can only be applied to new bookings. Discounts or special offerings can not be applied to parties or corporate events. 

Q: CAN I HAVE MORE THAN THE ALLOWED AMOUNT OF PLAYERS IN A GAME?

A: Though we would love more customers, more players than the allowed amount is not recommended. Games are designed with specific player counts in mind. Any players over that amount will not get a full game experience. Also, our insurance does not allow for more than the recommended player count.

Q: What happens if my group is late?

A: Time will be deducted from your group. For example, if your booking begins at 12 p.m. and your group arrives at 12:10 p.m., your group will have 50 minutes to escape.  

Q: Where in New Rochelle are you located?

A: We are located at 466 Main Street, Suite 206, New Rochelle, NY. We are on the corner of North Ave & Main Street in The Atrium (Arnold Constable building). The Main Street entrance (H&R Block side) is locked. Walk around the corner to the North Ave entrance (across from the Toy Discount Center & GNC). We are in the same building as Metro Med, right upstairs.

Q: Is there parking available?

A: There are several parking options available (listed below). Please do not park in the lot adjacent to our building. Unfortunately, that lot is not for our customers. Towing is strictly enforced.

 - On-street parking meters throughout the city and directly outside our door have a maximum time limit of 2 hours and a rate of $0.25 for every 15 minutes. A 3-hour limit is in the evening from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. (please refer to posted signage). 

Lawton Metered Parking Lot is just a short 2-minute walk to our location. Lawton is opposite The New Rochelle Library and adjacent to CVS. It has multiple metered spots that accept coins, bills, MasterCard, VISA, and Discover and issue receipts. As of March 2022, parking in municipal lots is free on Sundays and holidays.

New Roc City Parking - Plenty of parking is available in the New Roc City parking garage located at the Huguenot Street entrance. Parking is available for $1.00 per hour. Parking on the first or second level is the best option. New Roc City is a short 3-minute walk from our location.

Q: How do you customize a gift card

A: After their payment has been confirmed, you will be able to create a customized gift card by clicking on the Create a personalized gift card button

  • in the purchase confirmation screen and

  • in the gift voucher purchase confirmation email.

You can type a message in the Your message section and input the name of the gift voucher donor in the Your name field.
In the Image section, you can select one of the predefined images or upload your own image. The optimal aspect ratio for the custom image is 164 width x 234 height.

Once finished, click on the Create gift card button to create the gift certificate and download it as a PDF. If they are unhappy with the gift certificate, you can edit it and download it again.

Q: Are there places to eat around HOur To Exit?

A: Yes, we are in the heart of downtown New Rochelle, and there are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance of us. Our favorite for large groups is Texas Roadhouse. For great Caribbean and ramen fusion, go to Roc N Ramen. For the best pizza in town, you must try 4 Bros Pizza

Q: Do you accept walk-ins?

A: Yes, we do. On weekends, we require online bookings after 7 pm. All walk-ins are subject to full price. No discounts will be accepted.

Q: What happens when I join the waitlist?

When you join the waitlist, you will be notified by email when a game becomes available. Make sure to pay attention to your email.
